Summary: terrible fone dont buy!
Comment: i got this fone because i wanted a simple no hassle no nonsense fone for phone calls & texting i love how the fone looks and how its laid out asthetics aside unfortunately it has managed to continously lower my expectations just when i think they cant get any lower. here are the big issues

1.) one week after i bought the fone it deleted all my contacts phone numbers automatically! all i did was write a text message!

2.) text messaging, when you finish typing your text message you have the option of sending it to 25 people, you select your friends to text then click send, one hour later you realize this thing is still trying to send to your friends, it will not send out mass text messages. how so i know? because my friends remind me that it doesnt. will not recieve some MMS messages randomly but some manage to get thru, some pictures i take with the included camera will randomly also not go thru to people, yes i checked my plan that is why i pay more than most people cuz i want make and recieve MMS, and yes my friends have very good pda fones with MMS enabled, its frustrating! not only that but as the phone approaches 160 regular messages in inbox it warns you its full, next thing you know if you recieve just one message over it will wipe out your stored messages! and yes this occurs randomly too! another gripe is that half the text messages in my inbox and outbox will display names and the other half just numbers, it does this randomly too! if im gonna get screwed in this department at least i want to see a method to the madness so i can learn to avoid what triggers these shennanigans!

3.)bluetooth it takes 4 or 5 tries to get it to sync whith a headset you already setup to sync, total time wasted doing this, approx 5 minutes on average if your lucky.

4.) memory card, it takes the phone 2-3 minutes of waiting to access your sim card to select your own custom ringtones mp3 or wav and some wont even work randomly when you decide to change ringtones on occassion.

5.) camera, you have to hold the camera perfectly still or all you get is excessively blurry fotos, when you do manage to get the one picture you do like, you cant send it to your friends because it hangs, it says sending in progess and stay like that overnight in the outbox of the MMS and not send it out at random to the same people i send my pictures to.

overall i would say giving this phone 1 star is 1 star too many. this bun should be shoved back into the oven it isnt finished! i think overall the issues may be software related as i have seen motorola make very reliable awesome phones, i really have ripping on motorolla because i love their products but seriously Come On people at motorola get it together! fix my DAMN fone!!! or at least swap it for a diffrent type that works!

Summary: Not fancy, but solid
Comment: Not a lot of features, but overall its a user friendly and a solid reliable phone. Plus the call quality is excellent.

Summary: Nice rugged phone but has a few issues
Comment: Normally I would get a Nokia, but the selections are limited for that brand. And I would rather have a bar style instead of a flip but I really like the look and feel of this phone. It's like a rugged W490. Feels real solid in your hands. And I love the fact that the charger is mini USB.

Now onto the issues.

Major IMO:
- Every once in awhile the signal drops and it goes "Searching", and this is when the phone is on my desk at work. Never had an issue with my older Nokia 6030 or Samsung T619.
- Sometimes when accessing the call log (from pressing the green call button or the shortcut), it will say "Try Later". Only way to get around this is to access the phonebook and retrieve the number there. This will not do if I need to quickly redial someone while driving.

Minor:
- SIM card holder bracket is poorly designed. Sometimes difficult to remove the card since the bracket goes across the whole card.
- Camera has a orange hue around the subject. I wonder if it's the orange ring around the lens.
- It changed the phone settings on me when the mini USB plug is in.

Oh and the image of the analog clock on the front screen, where is the menu selection to get that?

I really want to like this phone, probably one of the better looking phones out there now but Motorola needs to do a little better in the engineering dept.
