Customer Rating: Summary: Sprint Customer Service is the WORST Comment: A word about Sprint: They used to be the best, and they are now the worst. The absolute worst.
If you call them today, July 15'th 2008, you will get through the prompts until you are given a wait-time and then the systems tells you to call back later and hangs up on you. I'm not surprised at all. They got rid of 80 % of their customer service workforce.
Things have appeared on my bill for a year that shouldn't be there. I have made 5 attempts to fix this and finally gave up. Plan on a two-hour call to get something accomplished and then prepare yourself to be utterly crazed with anger when you see that nothing was actually done several times. A lady from Sprint called me trying to sell something and extend my contract, I laughed so hard, that she actually tried to fix my problems. She said she did and of course, it's still on my bill.
I'm turning off my phone today...
Customer Rating: Summary: Green LG Rumor - love the color! Comment: I think the favorite thing I like about my phone is the cool green color( yes I'm female). I get lots of compliments. I definitely can tell my phone apart from the kids or husband when their phones are all on the counter togther! The bright color also helps me to find the phone when I drop it in the bottom of my purse (as opposed to the cell phone pocket in my purse). My old grey/black phone was much harder to spot in the black hole that is my purse!
I love the qwerty keyboard, but also dont like having to hit shift to get a period. I havent had any problems with the auto-lock turning off by the keyboard sliding out accidentally- but I carry it in a purse as opposed to my pants pocket. This may be helpful to know for women buyers.
The camera is so-so quality. I hate that it doesnt zoom.
My biggest complaint though is the sound is not very loud when I am talking to people. I have the earpiece volume turned all the way up, and often have to tell people to speak up. This gets very annoying. I am young and have great hearing so that is the not the problem. But I would imagine elderly people would have a very hard time hearing with this phone.
Overall, I would buy again.
Customer Rating: Summary: Greatest Phone Offered By Sprint Comment: Eventhough this phone lacks the EvDo highspeed data functions, the quick menus and slide out qwerty keypad make up for it. This is a great phone for someone who likes to text, taking quick photos, and grab their email on the go. I was a previous iPhone user since it's day one release, and after handling a friend's rumor, I decided to get my own. For the price, its a steal, and this is quite a sturdy phone as it fell out of my pocket walking up the stairs to my apartment---THREE FLIGHTS OF STAIRS IT FELL, LANDING ON CONCRETE--one minor snick on the battery door. By the way, it wasn't a lucky fall...it landed face down and bounced. By far the best cellphone I've seen in years.
Customer Rating: Summary: Don't Buy Sprint Comment: I'd love to be able to review this phone, but Sprint cancelled my order (for no apparent reason -- they couldn't even come up with one to give me) after I paid for it and the deposit. They said that I would receive the refund on my credit card in 7 to 10 days. After this time had passed, I called them back and they are now mailing it to me (14 days). It took 5 seconds for them to charge my credit card and an entire month (hopefully) to get a refund for THEIR mistake.
Customer Rating: Summary: I love this phone, I hate this phone... Comment: I concur with the gripes (and raves as well) expressed by other reviewers of this phone. What I also like about the phone is that there's about 3 dozen different, very cool ringers, tones, and melodies if you're a cheapskate like me and decide not to purchase ringtones. What I don't like is that not every alert on the phone can be set to a ringer or volume of your choosing. Other things I love and hate about this phone:
- The qwerty keyboard renders the keyguard lock option completely useless
- I still haven't figured out how to use my pics as slideshow screensaver (another reviewer had a similar complaint, so this may not even be an available function)
- Why do I have to pay for Voice Command when my PREPAID phone has that utility for free??
- I'm more of a texter, so the qwerty keyboard was the dealmaker for me and far as I'm concerned its very easy to use, loads of fun, and ultra convenient. Someone complained about switching between symbols and letters, I say its no problem if you do a lot of texting bcuz you eventually get used to the switch; its certainly better than thumbing thru 1 until you get to a symbol.
- Having a camera without a flash option is a problem in dark settings, otherwise, the resolution and quality works out great- you just have to be very still to take a decent picture.
